No Nonsense Contextual Links Will Boost Your Search Rank

Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites,   the reason cited is that google wanted to provide more relevant results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, in plain English, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. Google started this change almost one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, a few of these keywords ranked better than ever, it becomes clear that link building the old way is the thing of past, probably due to links crammed sites being downgraded by google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, we call these sites link spamming sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, all the links on those websites will have the same fate.  

Examples will be great for explanation. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started promote the keyword, connecting link, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, a lot of sites I used had too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, finally the rank improved a lot, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Here is another keyword, chain pullers, we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, with very few plain links, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? It all boils down to content, when you create unique and quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, take a look at this blog, top smartphone 2011 , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, and to my surprise, I have high ranks for some of  competitive keywords. As far as SEO concerned, article marketing with great content is the way to go. Say you’re building your own bogging network, for instance lever load binder, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

At the end of day all you have to do is to create attractive content, share the content with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. The virtues, persistence and patience, are essential for your success, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, i.e., selling online or improve your search rankings, let’s keep building and maintaining our blogs until end of the day. Five spice roast chicken drumsticks
Ingredients

For the marinade

*

1 tbsp groundnut oil
*

3 cloves garlic, chopped
*

2 tbsp grated fresh root ginger
*

1 tbsp Shaoxing rice wine or dry sherry
*

2 tbsp light soy sauce
*

2 tsp five-spice powder
*

2 tbsp honey

For the chicken

*

1kg/2lb chicken drumsticks, skin on

Preparation method

1.

For the marinade, place all of the marinade ingredients into a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the chicken and cover the bowl with cling film, then place into the fridge to marinate for at least 15-20 minutes, ideally overnight.
2.

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
3.

Place the chicken drumsticks onto a roasting tray and roast for 30 minutes, or until the skin is golden and the chicken is cooked through. (To check, pierce the drumstick at its thickest part, next to the bone. The juices should run clear.)

Ingredients
1 tbsp groundnut oil
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
6-8 cooked langoustines (or other large prawns)
1 tsp Shaoxing rice wine
150g/5oz fresh samphire, woody stems removed, or marsh samphire, preserved in brine
150g/5oz baby leeks, trimmed
2 spring onions, trimmed and cut into 4cm/2in pieces
1 tsp light soy sauce
sea salt, to taste

Method
1. Heat a wok until smoking and add the groundnut oil. Add the garlic and stir fry for a few seconds.
2. Add the Dublin Bay prawns and stir fry for 1-2 minutes, then add the Shaoxing rice wine and cook for another few seconds. Stir in the fresh samphire, then add the leeks and spring onions. Stir fry for one minute, then season, to taste, with the light soy sauce and sea salt.
3. To serve, spoon onto a serving plate and drizzle over any remaining juices from the wok.

Share Your Great Content On Your Blogs

Google made big changes to the ways their search results rank,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, in plain English, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. The update was initiated more than a year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, on the other hand almost all keywords promoted by contextual links are not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it becomes clear that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being thrown away by google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a large percentage of SEO firms will do this,  they add your links to those linking websites without context, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name link spamming are just for these sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.  

Let’s check out a few examples. In the very beginning, I didn’t know better, I needed to rank the keyword, ATV Winches, of course with old way of link building, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, we put the link in relevant context, not too many plain links have been built, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Old and outdated linking campaign lost to content linking, what’s next? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. You probably think there are already too many blogs out there, it’s not true, there will never be too many good blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, baby strollers , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, and to my surprise, I have high ranks for some of  competitive keywords. As we can see, quality article marketing is much better than plain link building. Say you’re building your own bogging network, something like Grade 80 Chains, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, i.e., selling online or improve your search rankings, let’s keep building and maintaining our blogs until end of the day. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then every new post on your blog will show up in your twitter page, it’s simple and elegant, if you don’t use this tool it’s just too bad.

Sweet and Sour Chicken Recipe – Delicious Chinese Food with Fresh Fruit Juice

Sauce:
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup fresh tangerine (or orange) juice
sliced ginger
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons ketchup
10 dried red chili

Coating:
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup regular bread cumbs
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients for sauce, bring to a boil then simmer for 30 minutes

Mix 1 chicken breast with one egg. Coat thoroughly in bread crumb mixture

Fry in 350 degree oil until golden brown

Remove oil from wok, heat sauce until boiling and add chicken. Stir lightly and serve.
