Pure Links are Discounted, Get Your Articles Out There!

  Short while ago google had changed their ranking algorithm,   in the name of providing more relevant search results for it’s users, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, in plain English, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. They planned and started the update about one year ago, and recently I see some of my ranks were lowered considerably, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they add your links to those linking websites without context, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, almost all of them are garbage, we call these sites link spamming sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.  

Let’s check out a few examples. It was quite some time ago, I started with this keyword, Double Clevis, of course with old way of link building, a lot of sites I used had too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain puller , we put the link in relevant context, almost no plain links, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? It all boils down to content, so if you create great content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, such as this interesting blog, best smartphone 2011 , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, you probably think this site won’t rank a all, much to my surprise that the site actually ranks for quite a few keywords. As we can see, creating quality content and blog marketing is what we have to do to get great result. Now imagine you have your own blog network, such as cargo nets, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, publish and share with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, keep writing, publishing, sharing and creating, you will see the day of success. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, google will index a new article on ezine promptly, and some popular blogs will get your post indexed in minutes, there venues are ideal for promoting your site, let look at some aticles or posts which are published and indexed, for example Hydraulic Car Mover, good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

By the way, we have hot social media now, no one can afford to not using them. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, link your blog to twitter, you should choose to post a tweet for every new post, it’s real easy and useful, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.
